Waiving Student Health Insurance
If you have another health insurance policy that meets UK¡¯s minimum criteria, you may be eligible for a waiver of the student insurance coverage and fee. Waiving the student health insurance prior to the deadline will remove the International Health Insurance Fee from your student bill and will withdraw you from the student health insurance policy for that semester.
Students who already have their own health insurance plan and do not wish to participate in the UK Student Health Insurance Plan must complete the online waiver form by September 22 for the fall semester and by February 22for the spring semester.

Keep proof of your insurance coverage for your records. Your waiver could be audited, and you may asked to provide documentation of your health insurance coverage and benefits at anytime during the semester.
